Castlegar and District Childcare Centre was designed in collaboration with renowned childcare Architect Peter Turje, the Operator and the Regional District of Central Kootenay. The building utilizes Mass Timber panels for its structural system, supplied by Kalesnikoff Lumber company. The exposed CLT panels provide the interior spaces with a warm natural environment that is lit up by the South facing windows. A covered entry, supported by Kalesnikoff Heavy Timbers, provides a weather-protected play space.
