This unconventional project sits on a small awkward lot on the outskirts of Nelson in Railtown. The client wanted to maximize the opportunities of the lot, and include a secondary suite. The footprint of the house fills the buildable area and as a result, the house narrows from 30’ wide on one end, down to 8’ on the other. The roof matches these dimensions, resulting in some interesting geometry. The zoning requires the spaces be live/work, and so each suite has commercial office space within it.
