Valley View Home - Mountain Modern Residential
The Valley View Home in Blewett BC is an excellent example of mountain modern design, blending contemporary modernist design strategies with wood based materials and detailing.
Bedford Road House - Passive House Multi-Unit Residential
Bedford Road House is a certified Passive House triplex, and was the first certified Multi-Family project in Canada. The project demonstrates how to build a high efficiency multi residential building with a minimum construction premium over conventional construction. The Bedford Road House was awarded the 2015 NAPHN Design Award at the North American Passive House Conference.
Mountain Modern Home
This mountain cabin located in Beasley BC was designed in collaboration with the client, who was also the builder. This low cost modern home includes a double height space along the south side of the building that allows the winter sun to flood in.
Skyholm - Energy Efficient Single Family Home
Skyholm is a single family home that explores many energy efficient design strategies. The features include an advanced envelope, heat recovery air exchange, efficient heat distribution, ang wrap-around enclosed decks on three sides, which include a solarium and provide protection from the persistent winds. Skyholm formed the basis for a successful application to the Provincial “Super Efficient New Construction” grant program, which resulted in a significant grant to design and build Bedford Road House, a Certified PassiveHouse in Nelson BC.
