The following body of work was completed by Lukas Armstrong from 2013-2023 as a Founder and Principal at Cover Architectural Collaborative Inc. Every project is a team effort and Lukas is grateful to have worked with talented people in the completion of these projects.
Baldface Lodge Office - Adaptive Reuse

Victoria Gardens
Designed for BC Housing, this 20 unit building contains supportive housing managed by the Canadian Mental Health Association. The much needed housing replaced two older duplexes that had reached the end of their service life. The four story building has balconies for every unit, while the neighbors are offered privacy through the use of timber slat guardrails. The building volume is broken up through the use of pattern, created by mixing cementitious panels, horizontal siding and vertical steel channel. The building is softened through the use of real wood railings and wood pattern steel cladding inside the balconies. While initially contentious in the neighborhood, the finished project has become a welcome addition to the community.
